Disney Wish and More Has Wish Kid Smiling from Ears to Ears
ORLANDO, Fla. (April 2023): David adores Mickey and Minnie Mouse, they bring him so much joy. He found out his wish was coming true in front of his church’s congregation who has been so supportive of everything he’s been through. His dad Christopher, a pastor at the church, and his mom Alicia revealed the amazing news. “Kids Wish Network is making your dream come true,” said his mom. “You’re going to Disney, Universal and LEGOLAND!” His dad also expressed his excitement and appreciation saying, “This is going to be the trip of a lifetime for David.”
His family received an Orlando theme park package including 3-day park hopper passes to Disney, 2-day passes to Universal Orlando provided by the theme park, and a day at LEGOLAND courtesy of Merlin’s Magic Wand. Kids Wish Network also purchased generous gift cards to Disney and Universal for dining, souvenirs and more throughout the various parks, One4all gift cards for a variety of restaurants and stores, Domino’s gift cards, and additional means to make his wish trip everything that he dreamed of and more.
Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa provided David’s family with beautiful accommodations during his meaningful wish. “The hotel was amazing!” gushed his mom. David especially loved the water park and pool.
“He has been so spoiled and treated like royalty from the moment we checked in the hotel, then at Universal and Disney,” said his mom. “He really had the time of his life, and we are so very thankful! Thank you guys so much!”
David was born with myelomeningocele, the most severe type of spina bifida, hydrocephalus, and Chiari malformation. He’s paralyzed from the waist down, and has been maneuvering in his wheelchair since he was a year old. He sees various specialists hours away from his home, and works hard in frequent therapies. David has a shunt that was surgically implanted for his hydrocephalus, and recently underwent a tethered cord surgery.
