Wish Kid Will Have Great Adventures Indoors
Despite all her struggles, Ava embraces the joy of each day
Ava Peters spent the first ten months of her life in the ICU. She has cystic fibrosis, a genetic condition that damages the lungs, digestive system, various other organs, and gastroschisis, a congenital disability where a baby’s intestines extend outside of the body. Ava has daily treatments and medications, and despite all her struggles, she embraces the joy of each day.
Ava is an adventurous little girl who loves playing outside, swimming, and water slides. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, purchased Ava a generous Great Wolf Lodge gift card that her family can use for accommodations, dining, games, activities, and souvenirs. She is most excited about the resort’s massive indoor water park that boasts thrilling water slides and splash-loaded play zones. “We are all very excited and thankful!” said Ava’s mom Amanda.
“Ava’s adventure-filled getaway will be everything that she dreamed of and more,” said her Wish Coordinator Kim Kreiner. “It’ll be a very special time of family togetherness.”
