Wish Makes Family Time a Thrilling All Terrain Adventure

PORT ANGELES, Wash. (August 2023): Oliver is an adventurer at heart. He’s in a wheelchair and unable to walk or move independently, so he blissfully enjoys the adrenaline rush of being full speed ahead. This thrill-seeker loves going on exhilarating stroller rides, spending time in the mountains, and exploring nature trails in the woods. Oliver’s mom previously carried him on family hikes, but his latest growth spurt now makes it impossible. With his dream coming true, family time in the great outdoors is more thrilling than ever!

Kids Wish Network purchased an Emma X3 all-terrain stroller for Oliver and his family. The innovative high-end strollers are designed to maneuver over snow, sand, rugged trails, and can even float in water. Extreme Motus also provided the stroller at a discount. Oliver’s mom and dad are so appreciative of his wish knowing how much it will immeasurably impact their time together, and his need for speed. They’re so excited for Oliver’s maiden voyage on his new set of wheels. Thrilling adventures await!

“Last week Oliver’s Extreme Motus came on a big truck in the morning, and we jumped out of bed to greet it!” said his mom Susan. “We cannot wait to put this thing to work on some real adventures. Thank you Kids Wish Network for making this dream come true.”

Oliver’s birth had complications, causing a lack of oxygen and a brain injury. He was diagnosed with epilepsy in the setting of cerebral palsy, chronic lung disease, and additional complications. He is currently under hospice care.

Their stay at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista also created meaningful family memories. The hotel welcomed Milani with a fabulous gift package full of plush toys, mouse ears, hats, snacks and a personalized card. It was very magical getting to see fireworks from their balcony, and they also loved spending time at the pool. Hotel accommodations were courtesy of the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista.

A future visit to LEGOLAND will be provided by Merlin’s Magic Wand. It was a trip of so many family firsts they’ll always treasure.

Milani has DiGeorge syndrome, a chromosomal condition. She was in the NICU for first three weeks of her life, and over the years has undergone seven surgeries. She continues speech, occupational and physical therapies at school.

Many Thanks

Kids Wish Network could not have provided this wish to Oliver without the help of Extreme Motus, and the many supporters who believe in making wishes come true for kids who need hope. Visit www.kidswishnetwork.org to learn about our different programs.

Kids Wish Network has been making dreams come true for children since 1997. We are dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children experiencing life-altering situations. We started with the single purpose of granting wishes to children suffering from life-threatening conditions but have since created additional programs to benefit kids nationwide, including Hero of the Month, Project Toy Drop, Holiday of Hope Gift Banks, and A Child Forever Funeral Assistance.

Every kid’s wish is worth the investment because every wish changes a life.

If you would like to sponsor a child’s wish, or if you know a child who is suffering from a life-threatening illness and may be in need of Kids Wish Network’s wish-granting services, please call 727-789-0008.
